Tu-e Tu-e

Some suggestions on how to use this song

I have used this song with large groups of 20+ but it would also work well with just one other singer.

In groups, you can sing it as a ‘call and response’ song.

It is fun to sing this as a round, with an AAC singer leading one group and a confident singer leading the other.  And we sometimes get three groups going simultaneously.

When singing into a voice output device

  1. remember to record a ‘lead in’ phrase so that the other singers know when to come in e.g. ‘Ohhh  -  Tu-e tu-e barima tu-e tu-e’
  2.
  3. record that first phrase ‘Tu-e tu-e barima tu-e tu-e’ six times on one activation. This means that the AAC singer can hold onto the first part while the other singers can go on to sing the rest. We all finish together then!

Since there are no signs or symbols for this song, we can clap or sway or pace on the spot to really get into the rhythm.
